About the Project

Youth in Art, Peace of Art is an exciting, collaborative project that brings together young people from Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, and Greece to Ormylia, Halkidikis, for 7 days of creativity, interaction, and cultural exchange. Through this project, we aim to use art as a tool to promote peace, encourage dialogue, and build bridges between different cultures. Participants will have the chance to engage in creative workshops, discussions, and team-building activities, fostering a sense of unity and understanding across borders.

Goal

The goal of the project is to empower young people through creative expression, promoting peace and cross-cultural dialogue. By engaging in art activities, participants will explore themes of peace, identity, and social responsibility, building both personal and collective skills that will last beyond the duration of the project.

Objectives:

To provide a platform for young people to express themselves through various forms of art.
To promote intercultural dialogue and understanding among participants from different backgrounds.
To encourage peace-building initiatives through collaborative art projects.
To develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills among youth leaders and participants.
To offer inclusive opportunities for young people with disabilities to participate and contribute to the project.
To co-create the program with youth leaders and participants to ensure active involvement and ownership.

Participants profile:

The project is primarily aimed at young people aged 15-19, but youth leader and youth workers up to 30 years old who are actively involved in working with young people are also encouraged to apply.
Participants should be motivated, open-minded, and eager to engage in creative workshops, cultural exchange, and teamwork. A passion for art, peace-building, and intercultural dialogue is highly encouraged. Participants should be interested in learning new skills and sharing their cultural experiences while contributing to a positive group dynamic.
Youth leader should be experienced in working with young people and capable of guiding and supporting their group throughout the project. They will have the opportunity to co-create activities and provide mentorship during the project.

Project Details

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 395 EUR (up to €535 for green travel). There are 6 vacancies available (5 participants and 1 leader). There will be a participation fee of 40 EUR per participant.
