Mariell Nõmm - Solidarity, volunteering, inclusive society.
Marie Pappel - It was about noticing and working together with people around you, taking account the needs and struggles of your peers, finding your voice within these actions and where to find opportunities to help others (volunteering).
Juhan Tammemäe - Volunteering, Solidarity, Inclusion
Liubomyr Yavorskyi - The biggest learning moment for me was when we experienced firsthand the challenges faced by people with different disabilities. It helped me better understand how important it is to be compassionate, tolerant, and willing to help. That experience opened my eyes to the real barriers others face every day and taught me to appreciate things I used to take for granted.
Maris Praats - For me, the biggest learning moment was truly understanding the meaning of inclusion. The days spent in Sighişoara showed me that every person – no matter their background or culture – has something valuable to share. We didn't just talk about participation or inclusion as concepts, we actually experienced them – through listening, taking action together, and in quiet moments where we understood each other even without words. The topic of volunteering touched me deeply. I realized why it matters – not just to get things done, but to be present, to notice, and to create opportunities for those whose voices aren’t always heard. Volunteering isn’t just work – it’s a statement, a choice to see the world differently, together with others, not beside them.Cultural differences didn’t separate us – they made the experience richer. Every dinner, every game, and every discussion was like a puzzle piece that helped me see how much we can learn from one another when we are truly present. This project was a reminder that young people’s voices matter. But even more – that each of us can be the one who creates the space where others feel safe to speak up.
Mariell Nõmm - For me, the biggest learning moment was the realization of the vast possibilities and opportunities that volunteering brings.
Marie Pappel - Learning about volunteering. I liked that this project was facilitated by volunteers, and that we could get a good insight of the projects and everyday life of the volunteers. Also we got to know a bit about all kinds of different volunteering opportunities that there are.
Juhan Tammemäe - I learned the most about the theory behind different forms of solidarity, I did not know before about all the vocabulary there is about it. I also learned a lot about things to consider when wanting to include people with different abilities.
Liubomyr Yavorskyi - At the moment, I don’t have specific plans to continue being active in the field, but I truly value the experience and everything I’ve learned. I remain open to future opportunities and would be glad to contribute again if the chance arises.
Maris Praats - Yes, definitely. This experience has strengthened my belief that youth work and volunteering have a real impact. I plan to stay active by continuing to support and organize local youth projects, especially those that focus on inclusion, participation, and community engagement. I also want to share what I’ve learned with others – through storytelling, social media, or even leading small workshops.
Mariell Nõmm - I am inspired to do more volunteering, especially in the field of nature and sustainability, and see where that would bring me.
Marie Pappel - I am now seriously considering going on a long-term volunteering project myself.
Juhan Tammemäe - Yes, I would like to volunteer on activities I like, if I have time in my schedule.
Liubomyr Yavorskyi - Yes, I would definitely recommend this experience to my friends. It’s a great opportunity to visit new places, learn about different cultures, and spend time in a meaningful way. You also get to develop new skills and make new connections, which makes the experience even more valuable.
Maris Praats - Yes – without a doubt! I would absolutely recommend this experience to my friends. It’s more than just a trip or a project; it’s an opportunity to grow as a person, to challenge your perspectives, and to connect with others in a way that truly matters.
Mariell Nõmm - I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone because not only would you meet a lot of fun people and experience places you probably otherwise never would, you also learn a lot about yourself.
Marie Pappel - I would definitely recommend, it was a well-organized project with great people, and we got to see the beautiful Sighisoara.
Juhan Tammemäe - Yes, definitely. I have enjoyed this experience a lot, and I will make sure to be as loud about it as possible in my friend group.
