Name of the project: GREENday - Youth Entrepreneurship, Environmental Startups (YEES)

Activity dates: 01/12/2020 till 31/01/2023

Number of participants for the Long-Term Training Course: 20 young entrepreneurs

Countries involved: Estonia, Italy, Greece, Denmark, Hungary

At the end of 2020, we started a cooperation with an Italian organization Strauss APS - a project named GREENday - Youth Entrepreneurship, Environmental Startups.

The strategic partnership contains many different parts:

• Training courses

During this period 20 participants from 5 countries were selected to take part in 3 training courses in order to become green entrepreneurs with the guidance of 2 trainers - Marco Santos and Lorenzo Nava.

The training courses took place in:
Estonia, Viljandi 2nd - 9th February 2022
Italy, Nicolosi 8th - 15th June 2022
Greece, Serres 12th - 19th October

The participants developed their business ideas, learned about business strategies, green economy, and green marketing, and even made their own business and marketing plans to kick off their startups.
By the end of the project, 11 participants managed to finalize their ideas and put them into action which is an impressive number.

• Intellectual outputs

With the partner organisations, we developed 6 different intellectual outputs which will all be presented in January 2023

All of the 6 outputs are for future green entrepreneurs in order to help them start their own startups. The material will guide the reader from start to finish including all the basic information about green entrepreneurship, green marketing, management, and administration tools, and provide a platform to present new startups.

• Multiplier events

The project also included 3 local multiplier events which NÜH organised to help green startuppers meet the entrepreneurial world, introduce to the young people some other opportunities on a European level and also help our Estonian participants in the business world by job shadowing.

One of the international multiplier events was also hosted in Estonia, in partnership with CleanTech Estonia - Climathon 2022. This event challenged our project participants to present their ideas to the broader audience, receive feedback and keep developing their ideas.
