Communication – The Key of Change

Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal
8th - 14th April, 2024

What was the main topic of the project?

Anastasia – The main topic was about gaining knowledge about communication, problems that communication can have, tricks and ways to find the right way to support the conversation.

Kristi Tobreluts – Communication.

What were the biggest learning moments of the event for you?

Anastasia – That there is no one key for each person. You need to use different keys. And there are also ways to find the right key.

Kristi Tobreluts – I really loved to get the insight of constructing an argument.

Do you have any plans to c0ntinue being active in the field? If yes, in which way?

Anastasia – This knowledge will definitely be useful to me during my studies at the university, which will begin in August (International Business bachelor's degree). Moreover, this knowledge is a base that everyone should master, because communication is something that we use every day in life.

Kristi Tobreluts – Yes, I will take part of these kinds of projects as much as possible. Also, speak to others about the opportunities.

Would you recommend this experience to your friends? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Anastasia – 100% Yes. There are many different projects so you can choose one that will be interesting for you and learn about it. But the main thing is that it is not a formal and boring. It is a non formal education which means that every lesson provide you active and creative activity. Moreover these kinds of projects give you an opportunity to join the intercultural environment. You need to try it at least once in your life. But as my project friend said "It is like addiction. After first try, you will never stop".

Kristi Tobreluts – Yes, because it's great way to make your travels more meaningful, and to learn while playing.

Other comments or anything else you would like to share? You can answer in your mother tongue, if you want!

Anastasia – It was my first experience and before the project and in the beginning I was scared. NYH provided all the necessary information. Travel and lodging was safe. People (participants and trainers) supported me and showed that there is nothing to be scared.

Kristi Tobreluts – I knew communication is the key of change, but now I actually have tools to make the change, thank you so much!
